Adding bots problems

I type "joebot addbot 2 2 Bot1" in console. The server just crashes when I do that. Why is it crashing? Can someone please give me an answer? Thanks.

what kind of game are you running ? dedicated server, listenserver ? which version of joebot are you running, which version of cs/hl ?

Where did you get your joebot_mm_i586.so? Just need to know the version of that .so since it may be outdated or worse not compatible with cs1.6.

so you are using the metamod version, right ?

if the plugin isnt loaded, then the bot shouldnt appear at all when typing addbot

Download the latest version of joebot here:
http://joebot.bots-united.com/downloads.html

Then unzip/gunzip/untar the archive into your Half-Life directory. If you installed it correctly, you should have cstrike\joebot\joebot_mm.dll (or joebot_mm_i386.so if it's linux).

Next, follow the instructions for metamod installation here:
http://metamod.org/metamod.html

Pay attention to the part where it mentions the file named liblist.gam. When you're done installing metmod, add the following to your metmod plugins.ini:

win32 joebot/joebot_mm.dll
linux joebot/joebot_mm_i386.so

That's it. This works for me.

Metamod does not load joebot !!!
I've followed your description but it does not work.
I installed Joebot sucessfull and it works.
Now I want to use Metamod + joebot.
So I wrote into the liblist.gam:
- Metamod\metamod.dll
then:
- created a file named plugins.ini in even this folder
- wrote into the plugins.ini: win32 joebot\joebot_mm.dll

Thanks. Now it works.
But there's a problem, I never got before. I use 1.5 !!!
If I load cs_siege, close it and reload it, I get an Windows error message,
that something couldn't read.

bot.cfg gets loaded each round. make the changes in bot.cfg instead of typing them into the console so that the settings stay from round to round.
